Hey there! If you’re here, you might have found this web address on a business card of mine, or I’ve just been bragging about this website that loudly that you overheard.
How did I come to purchase a website? Why, it was simple. Like any good idea, I nicked it from someone else. My uncle and I were discussing getting ahead in engineering, and he had said that his friend differentiated himself by setting up his own website. We were in Greece at the time, so the idea had to wait until I had WiFi again to confirm a realization: “.ws” was a publicly-available Top-Level Domain, which brought me the coolest possible domain hack that was still professional-sounding: my own name. Thus, this website was purchased. I’m happy to help fund infrastructure in Western Samoa, since that’s who ultimately administrates “.ws”, it’s a winning trade for both of us.
This site is administrated on the back by Google Cloud, which is good since the fees are low for a low-traffic, static site like this. Additionally, it gives me license to mess with GCP for fun. So far all of the pricing is very reasonable, and I hope that this reasonable pricing continues.
Will I consistently update this site? Or shall it languish in obscurity forever? Will I post work stuff, travel stuff, scraps of literature or all of these? I can’t tell from where I am now.
